1993 Amateur sphere – Ivana FAITLOVÁ

* 21.2.1959 in České Budějovice. A teacher at the local school. She started working actively for the popular theatre in 1979 as a puppet actress of the Plzeň Střípek Theatre. She took a course of puppet acting in Plzen under Tomáš Dvořák, studied at the Chrudim Puppetry for young people (Jan Dvořák), attended various seminars for teachers, the popular puppet conservatoire KKS in Plzeň and over 10 seminars of Chrudim Puppetry for authors and dramatists (both by Luděk Richter).

For the first time she attended the Chrudim Puppet show in 1980 as a spectator and then in 1981-2001 with 11 performances of Střípek (+1- presented at the fair) as author of the music, in 1988 as co-author and since then always as the author of adaptations, in 1981 as co-director and since 1992 as director and mostly also as an actress. At the Chrudim Puppet Show she won, next to collective prizes, also six prizes for screenplays and direction.

Ivana Faitlová is one of the most characteristic authors (mostly adaptations of lesser known epic works), excelling with her feeling for the needs of the stage as well as with her language talent and her directing in a feminine but firm hand: Zlaté kapradí (Golden ferns), Klobásová komedie (Sausage comedy), Kerkonošská pohádka, Brum – pohádka, Modrý Mauricius (Blue Mauritius), Havrane z kamene (Crows of stone), a/o. In the puppet theatre she is exemplary in her hard work and feeling of responsibility with which she creates with success a theatre which would entertain children, adults as well as the producers.
